2010 Motocross Dates
(Note: 8 Races in 2010)
May 22 - June 5 - June 26 - July 24
August 14 - August 28 - September 11- October 2

Because of our increased costs to sponsor/operate the Motocross Events the Canaan Lions Club must raise the cost for race entry from $20.00 to $25.00 per race. The Association and Gate Fees will remain the same as in 2009.

We also will be changing the number of trophies given out at each race event. The first five placed finishers in all 50, 65, 85, 125, and Ladies classes will receive trophies and all of the remaining classes will be given trophies for the first three placed finishers. The year end/championship trophies will remain the same, the first five riders in all classes will receive trophies at the banquet.

There will be three new forms required to race this year, two per rider. A one time Association Membership Application, Minor Waiver of Liability and Indemnity form, a one time Association Membership Application, Adult Waiver of Liability and Indemnity form. These forms are to be filled out once and the $30.00 fee paid, if they are filled out at the track it will be notarized for the minors and witnessed by a Lions member for the adults.

We highly recommend that the Association Membership Application and Minor/Adult Waiver of Liability forms be completed, notarized, attach a copy of birth certificate or proof of birth for a minor and sent in to the Canaan Lions Club with the $30.00 fee before May 15th 2010, this will speed up registration. The adult form sent in will be signed once received.  Leave the transponder space blank if you don't own.

All riders that send in their Association Membership Application with their $30.00 by May 15, 2010 will be entered in a drawing to win $200.00. Drawing will be held at the Lunch Break during the first Motocross Race on May 22, 2010. If your name is drawn and you are not present the money will be mailed to your address given on the form. We must have at least 75 membership forms recieved to conduct this drawing.

The last new form is the Rider Class Registration form; this form will be filled out at each event.

All riders must have their own a Transponder or rent one from the Lions Club. Each Transponder has a unique number that is used by the new system for scoring and for lap times. Trackside sells the New Transponders for $150 each and can be purchased at http://www.mxtransponder.com/default.aspx
